(released September 12, 2016)

Synopsis

He’s silent––but his touch speaks louder than words.

At first sight, Savannah is drawn to the harsh appeal of a man who refuses to talk to her. Keenan’s hard stare is arrogant and unapologetic. The quirk of his sensuous lips is cocky and in control.

But there’s more. There’s something deeper he’s trying to hide behind those steely grey eyes––a slight hint of vulnerability which captures her intrigue.

She’d been warned, told that his silence hides a myriad of lies capable of affecting her career and relationships with loved ones. Only she can't help herself. Testing Keenan's defenses is an addiction she can't deny.

Falling in lust is easy. Learning his secrets comes with a price. The cost? Her broken heart.

My Review & Rating

alright kittens, this one took me over halfway before I was all about the story.  Up until the end of chapter 19 I was just blah about it, then it took a turn.  A turn I should have absolutely seen coming, but I didn't, and it hooked me.  I was up about two hours after bedtime last night trying to finish the story... I didn't, but I did get up this morning and read it all.  I don't know if this was just me or how I'm feeling about reading right now, but it really wasn't doing anything for me until the turn, but now that I'm done and I look back on the story.  I really like it.  I get the story and how it was all set up.

The writing style is really nice.  The only draw back for me was the set up of the chapters, I do understand it now, but it took a while for it to make sense to me at all.  It gives you some foresight into the story and the characters, which I really did enjoy.

I think overall my fellow contemporary romance fans will enjoy this book.  It has a fresh spin on a story we all love.  It has several aspects that I love about it, but they are all a bit spoilery so I'm not going to tell you about them #sorrynotsorry

solid 3.5 stars
